There are alternatives to metal loose leaf tea infusers. One option is to use loose leaf tea bags. These tea bags are specially created to allow you to put your own loose leaf tea in the tea bag. There are also special loose leaf tea infusers on the market.

You can also infuse your tea in loose leaf tea pots. Most teapots have an infuser built into the top lid, others may have an infuser mesh built into the spout. A few loose leaf teapots need you to possibly use separate a loose leaf infuser as well.
