How To Keep Your Home Germ-free
1) Invest in a stainless steel kitchen island. The kitchen is the one area where there is more bacteria than any other room. This situation is due to food preparation. Islands are great pieces of furniture because they provide you with much-needed counter and storage space. Stainless steel is the ideal counter surface because it is not only attractive, it is also non-porous. This type of surface is incredibly easy to clean and keep clean because it does not attract dirt, grease or grime, making it perfect for food preparation. 2) Allow sponges, cloths, and towels to dry completely before using them. Bacteria thrive in moist environments so do not use something that is still wet; it simply just spreads germs around instead of killing them. When you wash these items, do so in hot water and the highest setting on the dryer. 3) Keep all bed sheets and linens clean. Launder all clothing and sheets regularly because it helps prevent bacteria colonies from forming. 4) Keep your toilet clean! Disinfect it regularly and always try to close the toilet lid when you flush. Even though you cannot see it, some water does spray out of the toilet when you flush. Since this is the case, you need to keep toothbrushes at least six feet away from the toilet to prevent spreading any germs. The safest bet, however, is to close the lid every time! These are just a few of the many suggestions you can implement to get ready for flu season. Keep your family healthy this year by keeping things as clean as possible. A stainless steel kitchen island will help you get started!
