How To Make Your Wedding Elegant With The Right Music
If you are going to choose this less traditional approach, then pay careful attention to the song you pick as you both walk down the isle as husband and wife. You can get pretty creative hear and have some real fun. After all, the serious part is over and it is time for the party to start. Of course you will have dancing into the night. Weather you have selected a band or a DJ; you will need to make your special requests in advance so that they are prepared. Keep in mind that a band might have to practice for a while to learn your special song, if it is not in their repertoire. If you are going to take the traditional first dance together, you will want to agree on what that song should be. The second song is important too, when the bride dances with her father and the groom with his mother. These are songs that will reflect who you are, so choose them wisely and with special thought. For those songs it is important to listen to the lyrics unless you already know them off by heart. You might find that a song that you always thought of as very romantic has an unpleasant surprise in the second or third verse! Most young couples have songs that are special to them, but for an older couple you may not have danced together very much and many love songs may be associated with other relationships earlier in your lives. How about something from a movie that you saw together? For your first dance the possibilities are limited only by your own feelings. There are millions of love songs for wedding parties and it is just a question of choosing one. If you are stuck for ideas, go through your CD collection, your friends' CD collections, or look on iTunes. Just go for a song that you both love, and that says something about your feelings for each other. It does not matter what anybody else thinks. It is the bride and groom who matter when it comes to choosing love songs for weddings. Here are the top 10 most popular First Dance songs: · "This Years Love" by David Gray · "Moondance" by Van Morrison · "The Best is Yet to Come" by Frank Sinatra · "Shelter" by Ray LaMontagne · "Green Eyes" by ColdPlay · "First Day of My Life" by Bright Eyes · "It's Your Love" by Tim McGraw · "Have I Told You Lately" by Rod Stewart · "Your Song" by Elton John · "Chasing Cars" by Snow Patrol You will also need to decide on the overall style of the music for your wedding, especially during the party. Consider the age range and interests of your guests. Usually there is a wide range of ages at a wedding and for at least the first part of the party it is good to have something that will appeal to everyone including older people and children. Aim for a mixture of old and new, fast and slow, and different musical styles. If you have very unusual musical tastes try to save them for later or mix them in. You do not want to drive all your guests away! Pay careful attention to the type of music that is played during the actual dinner. That is the time were your guests will not be dancing but rather eating and conversing with others that they are seated with. If the music is too loud or if the style is anything but soft, it could ruin the dinning experience. After the cake is cut is the best point in the reception to move the music to the wilder side, as many of the older guests who might not appreciate that style of music will feel more comfortable making their exit only after the bride and groom have cut their cake. When you consider your guest when it comes to the music, you will find that people will feel good about the experience of being at your wedding.
