Search engine optimization is basically this: improving your online visibility by showing up higher in the search engines (Google, Bing, Yahoo, etc). You can use SEO in different ways to optimize your website. Find what keywords your customers are entering for businesses such as yours, and then use them around your website. Also, don’t forget to add keywords to your meta tag descriptions as well. But, don’t overpopulate your website with keywords. When the web spiders crawl your page they will notice, and they will rank you lower in the search engines. That would basically defeat the whole purpose of your SEO efforts. The last step of how to market your online business is by using social networking. Using social sites such as: Facebook, MySpace, and Twitter can help get your name in front of prospective customers. Make sure that when you are posting anything that it is full of information your customer thinks is useful. Update your social networking sites often, every day if you can. That way the reader will want to come back!
