How To Prevent Stretch Marks After Pregnancy
These marks are caused by the hasty growth of the body which the skin has a hard time keeping up with. Instead of stretching, the skin breaks, resulting to stretch marks. Now, as the cliché goes: Prevention is better than cure. Although there is no absolute way to stop stretch marks from developing, there are some ways on how you can prevent them from getting too serious. For one, you can use a lotion which is highly moisturizing. Apply it liberally after shower and as often as needed all throughout the day. You must especially focus on the problem areas such as lower abdomen, hips, thighs, and breasts. Another way to prevent having a lot of marks is by controlling your weight. Although it is normal to gain several pounds during pregnancy, you should not make it as an excuse to always gobble for two. The more you eat, the more you gain weight. The more you gain weight, the more marks will appear. It's a simple math. Now, to avoid stretch marks after pregnancy, just go easy on your diet. Eat only what's healthy and good for you and the baby. If you live by this rule, you will not have to worry about any alarming weight gain. Thirdly, you should also drink a lot of water to prevent stretch marks after pregnancy. Aside from applying lotion on the skin to keep it moisturized, it would be great to hydrate it from the inside. Water will make your skin more elastic, preventing it from breaking even when it has to stretch far. As you may already know, your skin has to catch up with your increasing girth. The more elastic it is, the better. Article Directory: http://www.articledashboard.com Find more tips and advice on Stretch Mark Therapy, Visit: www.stretchmarktherapy.getmytips.com |
