How To Show Hidden Folders?
Microsoft Windows will hide certain files from view. The purpose of doing this is that these files that are hidden are system files. They must not be modified or accidentally deleted as this can cause the system to completely crash. However, since it is also possible for viruses and spyware to be hidden in the same manner, you would need to view such files to find out which are malicious ones. If you are using Microsoft Vista, you can configure the system to show Hidden Folders. Go to the system's 'Control Panel'. You can see the Appearance and Personalization menu. Here Click the Folder and the View tab. If you check here you can see the Show hidden files and folders option. Select it and then click OK. Uncheck the 'Hide extensions for known file types' box and the Hide protected operating system files box. Click 'OK and then press 'Apply' to implement changes. This completes the procedure for showing Hidden files. It is advised not to delete hidden folders or files, unless you are sure about what they are and why they are placed in the system.
