How To Spend A Long Weekend

We’ve all been there, you’ve got some time off, you don’t need to be back at work until Tuesday or Wednesday, and you have a very long weekend that needs to be used. So what do you do?

Go on a Mini Break

Heading to a different city, either abroad or at home could open your weekend up to a world of opportunities for you to explore, such as shopping, going to the theatre, trying new cuisine or even going sightseeing. You can often find great deals on flights for city breaks, so pick a destination, find a flight and enjoy your weekend.

Have a Spa Day (Or Two)

For some people, a long weekend means getting to do all the things they normally don’t have the time to do during the week, such as relaxing or going to a spa for beauty treatments. A spa weekend allows you to unwind in a relaxing atmosphere and be pampered to your heart’s content, for a whole weekend, so take a friend, and get ready to be spoiled rotten.

Take to the Water

While some people can afford to go on cruises several times a year, others have to make do with a very brief trip due to time constraints. River cruises are growing in popularity, as they offer guests the chance to sail down some of Europe’s most beautiful rivers, and indulge in some shopping, fine dining and live entertainment for much less than a traditional cruise.
