How To Stop A Panic Attack Occurring
One of the most under rated ways to make your emotional state more stable is by making sure you are eating a healthy diet. Make sure you are eating plenty of fresh fruit and vegetables and not too much sugar and salt. What we eat has an effect on our brain chemistry and thus our mood in certain situations. If you want to have an optimal psychology then you must also work towards having a n optimal physiology so do research into such diets as the paleo-diet. Of course this leads us to doing exercise. Exercise releases chemicals in your body such as endorphins which make you feel good. If you are healthy and doing exercise you will continually bathe your brain in these kinds of good hormones which will make you happier and give you a more stable emotional state. A good form of exercise to do to help prevent panic attacks is Yoga. This is because it has a mental as well as a physical aspect. You'll be improving your health through great exercise as well as learning how to breathe correctly (which helps prevent shortness of breath when feeling anxiety) as well as learn how to quieten your mind and strengthen your focus. Finally, one of the best things you can do to prevent panic attacks is do some form of meditation or mindfulness exercises. Meditation is quite easy to learn and can benefit you in as little as 5 minutes a day. Just find somewhere quiet to sit down and allow your thoughts to wander without judging them. Just notice what kind of thoughts and feelings enter you and then let them go. Another exercise is to sit still and focus on your breathing. In the beginning you might find your attention wandering but as you practice you'll find you'll be able to focus on breathing for five to ten minutes.
