How To Avoid Procrastination?
You can write down a to-do list every night before you go to bed. In your list, you should prioritize the tasks based on their urgency. These tasks should be important and needed to be done as soon as possible by the end your day. You should keep your list short and ensure yourself to complete all of them. Knowing your goal is very important to organize yourself for better time management. You can write down your goal, target and datelines on your note book or a white board. This will serve as a visual reminder to you. If you give yourself a dateline to finish your to-do list, it will motivate you to push yourself harder in order to achieve the targets. One of the major reasons of procrastination is due to distraction. When you are at work or doing your task, you should turn off you instant messenger, close your email inbox and get yourself out of other social networking software. You should isolate yourself from these distractions completely and fully focus on your task. You should also keep yourself out from TV and radio. Beside restrict yourself to be fully focused on work; you should not forget to reward yourself for being discipline. Once you finished all your tasks from the list, you should reward yourself with some entertainment or leisure time. For example like go for an exercise or workout, treat yourself a good meal or a fun night out. This will help you to maintain a healthy and balance lifestyle. Procrastination is considered as one of a bad habit. This is because it will only waste the fuel and time of our life. If you constantly motivate yourself and complete your tasks on time with self discipline, you will be able to combat this bad habit eventually.
