How To Choose The Perfect Bike For Your Child

In the massive build up to Christmas time, our children will be begging us for a wide variety of dolls, action men, gizmos and sports equipment, and at times it can provide us with a pounding head and with not a clue on where to begin.

With the huge variety of presents desired by our little bundles of joy, we really do have to search every nook and cranny for the best deals. We only have a limited amount of money and so we really will have to find the perfect toys at the best bargains and of fantastic quality.

As per every year during Christmas time, many many children are asking for a new bicycle, or even for their first ever tricycle. However with the amount of different bikes around, how are you supposed to have any idea which one is perfect for your child? Well here is my advice...

Here is much information which I believe that you will need for purchasing your child’s bike, from the outside lining of color to the absolute core of the gears. I am sure that you will be able to purchase the perfect bike for your little one.

Right let’s start from the beginning. What price range do you have? Are you able to spend just £20 on a second hand bike for your little one, or are you able to go more extravagant and go up to the £300 mark with all of the trimmings?

After this you will then have to make sure that your little one will be able to ride the bike not only in different weather conditions but also on different terrains. Make sure that the breaks working in the rain, and also that the wheels are sturdy riding in the woodland.

Once you have realized the type of bicycle you are going to purchase. You then need to think about one really key factor that will make all of the difference to your child. Let’s say if you buy a pink bike for your little boy, my guess will be that he will cry and say ‘you’ve bought me a girls bike!’ So I suggest you think extra carefully about the color.

Another really important factor in buying a bike for your child (for safety) is the manufactured details of the bike. By this I mean, the size of the bike/seat, the size of the wheels and actually what type of bike. I mean to be honest you to not really want to be buying a bmx style like bike, if you child is only going to be g riding it to school Also if you purchase a bike which is too small for your child, then they will be hitting their knees on the handle bars, which to be honest can become extremely risky.

One thing which may not seem that important but to be honest, it is, is the weight of the bike. You see, lets say you child rides into a wall, and can’t he/she can’t bike backwards. Well he/she will have to get off of the back and turn it around manually, but what if the bicycle is too heavy for them to turn around on their own? They are going to struggle immensely.

The final part in purchasing a bike for your little one is the suspension. Basically if the bicycle does not have a good suspension, then it will be really uncomfortable to ride. The sea will be really hard, and they will feel every single little bump and it can really hurt their bums.

I personally know all of this because I am a bike rider myself. I bike to and from work ever single day, and with this I do want to get the most comfort out of my bike as I can (and I am sure that any child will want to as well.)

So when buying Child's Bikes. Christmas, keep this information in mind, as your child may suffer if you don’t.
