How To Downgrade A Psp
Many hours of internet searching later i found that if you downgrade a psp you could either render it useless or have a console that could play free games, a tough choice. There are step by step guides available all over the internet on how to downgrade a psp, mphdowngrader seems to be the most popular but i wasn't willing to take the chance of having a paperweight instead of a games console.This a small part of one of the guides i found! Dangers of downgrading Know that downgrading your PSP voids the warranty and can be quite dangerous to your hardware. Downgrading often requires upgrading: You can only use a downgrader that goes from one firmware version to another, so most users will need to update their PSP to at least version 2.0 (USA) in order to then downgrade it to 1.5 or 1.0. Find your firmware Determine which version of the PSP operating system you are currently running: Navigate to the main menu on your PSP. Select Settings -> System Settings -> System Information. Look for System Software Version X.XX. Where X.XX is the version number of your PSP firmware. Now you will know which downloader and/or updater you will need. Note that any version greater than 1.51 will prevent you from running Homebrew and other independent applications. How complex is that it put me off.
