Your wireless network will require a WEP Key 7. Then enter in that number, too easy! This is the easiest way to find your WEP Key. If you just bought your router and it is automatically a secured network when you set it up, this method will work 99% of the time! How do I find my WEP key? Method #2 You only need a WEP key if you connect using Wireless. LAN connections do not require a WEP key. You should be able to find the WEP key by accessing your wireless router. In order to access your router settings you need to find your router ip address. In order to do this you need to either see your router manual or search online for it. Just type in the type of router you have followed by ip address. So like this "Netgear router Ip address". When you find the correct router Ip address, won't take long, it will ask for your user-name and password. The common default user-name/password is admin/admin. They are case sensitive so make sure you type it in all lower case. If the user-name and password doesn't not work, again search the internet for the default router user-name/password. You should now have the setup screen for your router. Go to the "wireless" tab and you should see your WEP key, however it may be encrypted. If it is just change the WEP key to whatever you want. Once you have your WEP key, you can input it in when you connect to your wireless network. Article Directory: http://www.articledashboard.com Did you like this article?
