How To Have More Time And Energy For Sex – Advice For Christian Couples

Fatigue is the great destroyer of many sex lives. With all of the responsibilities you have, children, work, family, cooking, school, etc it can be very hard to have the time and energy for sex.

I once read about a study that was done on more than 2,000 Christian women. In that study they found that the number reason for not having sex was fatigue. After a full day many are simply too tired to participate in any sexual activity.

Both parties can easily become frustrated when they are not being pleased sexually. Here are a few ways you can make more time and energy for sex.

1. Make Time for sex – Since you have a very busy schedule the easiest thing to do is add sex into your schedule. Make it a priority just like everything else. Put it in your schedule. If you schedule sex for 9:30pm then try your hardest to make it happen at that time.

2. List all the things that hinder you from having sex – Make a list of all the things that make it difficult for you to have sex. Once you have completed your list go back through it and list ways you can eliminate the difficulties. For instance maybe you and your husband can split the house duties. This will not only help you out but also free up more time for sex.

3. Stick To The Schedule – Once you have figured out how to eliminate the hindrances and you have made your schedule you need to try your hardest to stick to it. If you don’t you will end up back in the same place you are in now. Start off small. Commit to sticking to the schedule for say 7 days. Once you make it past that 7 days go for another 7 days. Once you have made it past the first 3 weeks it will become natural and more of a part of your everyday life instead of something you scheduled.

Sex is a very important part of any marriage. If you don’t make time for sex chances are you won’t be having it. You have to nurture your sexually side just as you would your spiritual side. You make time to read your bible so you should make time to tend to your spouse’s sexually needs.
