How to Plant Tomato  The Step by Step Process of Planting Tomato

Tomatoes are available in more than 25, 000 varieties and in different colors. Tomatoes are easy to plant and grow. Typically, the varieties which are common in your areas are the ones which can be easily grown in the specified area.

The Step by Step Process of Planting Tomato

1.Purchase your tomato plants after the potential danger on frost in your area has passed. If you are trying to grow your plants from seed, you should start at least six to eight weeks before the last frost is expected.

Therefore, you should always look on the information that comes with your plants or seed packet to determine the exact spacing necessary for your variety of tomato.

6.Dig holes for your plants. The holes must be as big as a soccer ball.

7.When you noticed that plants begin to bear flower, they are ready to be planted in the outside plot by then. Place the tomato plant in the hole and after that put a mixture of soil and compost or fertilizer. You should firm the soil around the base of the plant. Planting the tomato deeply will encourage the root to grow more. Covering the braches of the tomato plant would also be okay as long as the four branches are remained above the ground.

8.You must also know some precautionary measures. In order to deter cutworms, place a paper collar at the base of each tomato plant.

.You should also place a tomato cage, stake or small trellis next to each plant. As your plant grows, secure it loosely with soft twine. Check the ties periodically and untie them when necessary.

10.You should water the plants regularly. Picks the fruits when they are already ripen.
