How To Prevent Spam
1. Be careful where you submit your e-mail. You might want to leave some dodgy looking websites even if they seem to have some content you are looking for. 2. You can set up an e-mail that you will use for subscribing to newsletters, forums etc. It's best if it does not contain your name nor surname, your company name and is unlinked to your personal details. For example: emailforspam@ or whateveradress@ chocolaterocks1234@ 3. If you want to post an e-mail on your website, post your as a picture, so that the spam robots cannot detect it. Simply take a snapshot of your e-mail adress and post on the www. 4. When you sign up anywhere there is usually a box that says something like 'I want to receive promotional material'. Uncheck it unless you are really interested in the content. 5. Never trust weird e-mails from unknown people, starting 'Dear Friend' or instead of your name have your e-mail adress, e.g. Dear Emailforspam. Delete them, no matter how intriguing they are. 6. If you use an e-mail client (e.g. Outlook) once you get a junk e-mail mark it as junk. Also use the filters to determine which e-mails you want and whch you don't want to receive. 7. Get one of good spam blockers for your e-mail client.
