How To Set Goals As A Blogger
No matter what your goal as a blogger is, 2011 is the time to reach that goal! Here is how to do it: - Be clear about what your goal is. Do you want to make money off your blog? How much? When do you want this money to be made? Is it important for your to have actual readers, or is that just a nice bonus? People think differently about these things, so simply copying someone else's goals is rarely a good idea. Be honest with yourself and set goals that are really meaningful for you. - Decide on how to get there. How can you make money off your blog? Maybe you don't know yet? If that is the case, set a time for when you must have found a way to monetize your blog, and then work hard towards meeting that deadline. If you already know how to monetize a blog but just haven't gotten around to it yet, start taking baby steps towards making money off the blog today! The most important thing is that you start right away, and keep working towards your goal on a regular basis, no matter what. - Celebrate small successes along the way. This keeps you motivated, makes blogging more fun and also reminds you of the fact that reaching the goal is actually the biggest part of the learning experience, not actually getting there. So reward yourself when you find a way to monetize your blog, then once you make your first $10, and so on. And most importantly: have fun while blogging! It should never feel like a chore! - Write down your goals. We tend to forget more easily than we think. So make sure your goals won't be forgotten by writing them down!
