How To Survive E-mail Surfing
I do not like spam at all, I can smell it from a mile away as they say. But I do not have the resources to fight spam besides the regular spam filters included in the e-mail service itself. Sometimes important messages get washed away or missed because they are not “white-listed” and get into the spam box or just simply you missed them or clicked the “delete” button unintentionally or accidentally as you were cleaning your inbox. Some other messages are “washed” or avalanched at the bottom of dozens of other messages because you are extremely busy to read them at the moment and only notice them after it is obsolete or it is too late to respond to. Try not to subscribe to e-mail lists if it is not necessary and unsubscribe from the ones that you do not want to receive messages from any more. I recommend to do some skimming or rapid surfing your inbox, if your email provider has a means of marking the messages (for example to put a star or something like that) as Important to be read at a later stage or move them to folders to read them and classify them. After skimming is done go back again when you are not to busy and browse you inbox, do not be afraid to mark, identify or report scam but I do not recommend to spend much time on it. Just simply delete the messages that you are not interest by looking at the subject or reading rapidly to your message. Try not to get addicted to e-mailing. Try to encourage others to call or visit instead of writing emails and if emailing is inevitable follow advises to manage and organize your messaging. Try to have separate accounts for personal use and especially have separate ones for doing business. I hope these recommendations help you on the every day task of e-mailing.
