Proofs and evidence- this is an essential part. As you are writing a persuasive piece your motto is to make people believe in a certain aspect that you believe. So here comes a question- why would they bother to believe you? Here comes the importance of producing some evidence. Make use of arguments and counter arguments that would be helpful to prove your points.
