There is one thing that really shocked me when I discovered this, ‘Humans are programmed creatures.’ I mean I realize that we are learning all the time but the phrase ‘learned creature’ never came into my mind. With that phrase it mean that we were crafted out from our surroundings, which also means that we are not our true selves.
Think about it again! We are not our true selves!
We are not our true selves; we are conditioned and programmed in the process of living this life. Just think about anything that you know and ask yourself, either you discovered it out by yourself or somebody told you so. I bet most of the things, were taught to you by some one else either directly or indirectly.
I would like to say that the most influential persons in our lives would be our parents since they were the persons who we spend most of the time with when growing up. Whatever they believed in, they passed to us. They even taught us to do things their way. The problem is their beliefs and their ways of doing things might not be right even if they sincerely believe that they were. They were not to be blamed since they were also the victims of the false thinking.
One of the thinking that my dad often impress on me is that money is hard earned and working on a job is better than owing a business. It’s less hassle. However, if you read Robert Kiyosaki’s books, he tells the opposite.
Most likely, if we were to follow their beliefs, we could definitely predict the future accurately; they serve as the previews of our future. Following the same maxim is like doing the same thing and getting the same result.
Besides, TV plays an important role too. Imagine, how much would you being exposed to if spending more than 7 hours a day in front of the TV. Well, if you are unaware of this, that’s is the average an American does in a day.
TV is the most powerful programming product that man has ever created. Besides, the demand for this product is so great that the technology is constantly keep on upgraded. First was the black and white set, then came in the color TV set and now the clear picture plasma screen TV.
But do you realize the impact of TV could have on us, especially when it involved violent, drug and sex scenes?
We are being passively programmed; it’s just that we don’t realize it. Most people say that it is just a show, no harm is being done. Well, our minds pick things up quite fast and once it is impressed upon the subconscious, it becomes our belief. This is more true when the same type of scenes being repeated again and again (same thing as affirmations). I guess you can wonder why they call it TV program. So next time, choose wisely on the TV program that you want to program on yourself.
Basically, whatever or whoever that we come contact with will have impacts on us; the people that we surround ourselves with, the books that we read or the news that we feed on to. Those things shape our thoughts and eventually we become the person of the thoughts that we hold in our mind.
If we have been negatively programmed with limiting beliefs, we can choose to erase them and install new and constructive belief. The same thing is also true with the opposite. Constructive beliefs can also be replaced with destructive belief, if we don’t monitor what we feed our minds with.
