Hypnosis As A Tool To Help Improve Confidence And Motivation

There are three kinds of confidence - the normal confidence, defined as being sure of a theory, a prediction or a hypothesis and knowing for certain that an action or the outcome of something will be the best, the most accurate or the most efficient. Then, there is self-confidence - this type of confidence is that which we have in ourselves. And finally, there is overconfidence - this is a surplus or excess of confidence in someone or something. It is synonymous with presumptuousness. To be able to lead a normal and healthy life with a good attitude, a certain level of confidence is a must. A person who lacks confidence tends to be hesitant, suspicious and not very forthcoming.

Due to a lack of confidence, in people and objects around them, some people live in constant fear of doing something 'wrong'. On one level, confidence and trust merge together and become almost indistinguishable. For example, a person being protected by the police or a soldier during an emergency will trust them completely with their lives. This is a clear example of the state wherein confidence and trust become one.

Confidence in others is purely a matter of choice. We place our confidence in other people all the time. Humans are social animals, and society cannot exist without confidence in others. Self-confidence is even more important. It is absolutely necessary to believe in our own ability to function and perform effectively. It is not uncommon for people who lack confidence to berate themselves. The negative thoughts and emotions harbored in their minds have a very debilitating effect on their abilities, and can prevent them from performing.

In order to be able to achieve and perform, the mind must first be up to the task. Without the co-operation of the mind, the body refuses to function. Even if forced into action, the body will not be able to produce the desired results. If a person is suffering from a lack of self reliance, he or she can use hypnosis to build self esteem and motivation. There are many hypnosis CDs available on the market that can be quite helpful, but working one on one with a certified hypnotist is almost always preferable. A certified hypnotist can give suggestions specifically suited to the individual client. These suggestions given to the clients subconscious mind can help improve self esteem and self assurance. More and more, people are choosing hypnosis when challenged by a lack of self confidence.
