I Always Use Truck Rentals

As someone who has moved into a lot of college dorm rooms and apartments, I have experience using truck rentals and truck rental companies. While I have always had people who helped me move, I have never had a vehicle that could carry all of my possessions. Truck rentals are inexpensive, easy to use, and get all of my furniture and boxes from one place to another without a lot of stress.

I have used a wide variety of truck rental companies, both local and national. My favorite truck rental company was U-Haul because they seemed to have the best rates and the widest variety of truck rentals to pick from. However, I have also used local companies that offer unique options like free moving boxes, free use of hand trucks, and unlimited mileage for a decent price. The best recommendation I can make for those who want to rent a truck is to do their research. Many truck rental companies have web sites and also have very helpful customer service representatives that can guide you through the process.

I would also recommend using the car insurance that truck rental companies offer for longer moves. I have moved my possessions from a far away apartment to my new apartment and while I have never gotten into an accident, I can see the value of temporary auto insurance. College students and those moving out on their own for the first time may not have their own car insurance or have an insurance that wouldn’t cover them sufficiently in the case of an accident.
