If You Are Overweight, You May Not Be Healthy

You may have more of everything in life, but if you are overweight, it is tantamount to having nothing because ill-health may strike you any time. You should immediately swing into action and take steps to lose weight quickly.

- Some friends may advise you to skip breakfast to lose weight quickly. There cannot be a worse advice than this. Eating breakfast is very important for a healthy living because breakfast is expected to supply 30% of your day's requirement of energy. If you skip it, you will not have that energy and hence your output during the day will not be up to the mark, not to talk of being excellent. If you do not eat breakfast, you are likely to indulge and over-eat during your next meal. This is again a bad thing because it will lead to weight gains. Your breakfast should consist of low-calorie but highly nutritious food. In fact, some experts advise that you should eat your breakfast within one hour after you wake up because you have been famishing all through the night.

- Fried foods must be completely avoided. Since you use oil for frying foods, your consumption of fat through these foods may increase your weight. Wherever possible, you should boil your foods and eat. Boiled foods can be digested easily by your system and hence will improve your metabolism.

- You should eat more of salads, vegetables including green leafy ones and fresh fruits. Instead of eating foods that contain bad carbohydrates like sweets, processed breads, cakes, pastries and sugary items, you can eat fruits that contain good carbohydrates. A good serving of fruits and salads will give you the feeling of fullness so that you will not over-eat other weight increasing items. Dietitians suggest that you should eat salads and fruits in the beginning of the meal itself so that over-eating can be avoided, and you can lose weight quickly.

- You can shift from a 3-large-meals-a-day regime to a day of six smaller meals. Smaller meals are digested easily, and they keep supplying the required nourishment and energy to the body to carry on with your work efficiently. Your metabolism will always be on the top gear and hence burning calories happens fast so that you succeed to lose weight quickly.

- You should not eat beyond 9 P.M. because your activity during nights is almost negligible, and hence you do not spend any calories. This will increase your weight enormously. It is the general rule that you should go to sleep only after 2 hours after your dinner.

- Water boosts up your metabolism. If you drink a good amount of water daily, you can digest your food fast and hence the body will be supplied of good nourishment. Water removes toxins from the body effectively. It is the fat cells in which these toxins remain. Hence when toxins are removed from the fat cells, you can easily get rid of fats to lose weight quickly.

Water ensures a good bowel movement. You may have observed that when your bowel movement is not good, you may feel heavy in the stomach and will not be able to eat well. However, once the bowel movement happens on the day, you will exceed moderation and start over-eating. Hence it is absolutely necessary that you keep your bowel movement in good shape that is possible only by drinking plenty of water.
