If You Build It, The Time Will Follow, Some How, In Some Way!If you are not familar with 'The Call To Prayer' ebook and it's main message, allow us to summarize for you. The anonymous Christian author of this work states that we all, as a general rule, are experiencing God's Call To Prayer and are in need of a special place in our home to go and pray in peace and quiet. The author goes into greater details and even offers plans on how to create a prayer room or prayer closet in our homes out of unused space. Now, many of you begin to feel uneasy with such an idea and are in fear of what others would say if they saw that you had a special place to pray in your home. You fear being called 'overly religious', 'too Catholic' or just plain ole' goodie-two-shoes! "You used to be cool, but now...". Some of your fear is justified because of the over all climate regarding Christian prayer and spirtual growth. How many of you are aware of friends, family, even co-workers who are 'into' the new-age movemment and have a special place to practice meditation and 'centering'? If you don't know of at least a couple you are most likely in a smaller rural area. It is very popular nowadays to have meditation rooms, zen gardens and the like for reconnecting, 'centering', or 'grounding'. Special music, incense and even special clothing is the new norm for new age followers wanting and needing a place to unwind and enter into the presence of God. There is certainly nothing wrong with any of these new age attempts if that is where your heart is, except that the movement seems to make special conditions for it's followers but doesn't extend the same to Christians. In many circles it is okay to have a zen garden but not a Saint garden, a Luther Reflection garden, or a Rosary garden because that's way 'too religious' looking and sounding. It's okay and even 'kinda cool' to have a meditation room (or area in a room), but mention a prayer closet or a prayer chapel and you stand to receive some kidding, to say the least! If you are a Christian be proud of it! Don 't hide the fact and certainly don't be ashamed of it! Do you remember what Jesus said regarding this? He said, that if we claim him before men, he will claim us before our Heavenly Father. But, if we are ashamed of Him, hide Him and His message, He will do the same with regards to our Heavenly Father. Article Directory: http://www.articledashboard.com
