In a twenty-four hour delivery, people can now take the opportunity in sending cargo as much as they can. With the help of cargo planes and airplanes, fast and non-stop delivery is possible in any part of the day. In some cases, there are still drawbacks, even in freight services with the most advanced technological facilities. To measure how profitable and effective the air freight business is, the implementation of Key Performance Indicators or also known as KPIs must be integrated in an air freight company. The whole measuring includes the company’s performance in terms of financial aspects, the customer satisfaction and rating, and the efficiency of the delivery activities and processes.


For example, percentages may sound good a little but when you take it into reality, it is something really bad. One of these statements is when you say an air freight group is 90% accurate in the right package delivery to the right client means in every one million packages sent, there are one hundred thousand of them sent to the wrong person. This does not sound any better. This is still a considerably large number to deal with. To better manage a system or a process, it should be measurable to be able to create a solution according to the measurement results.

These are the two common air freight metrics you can use in your company, although there are still other types you may consider. Making air delivery a hundred percent accurate is very important. This is business, so it is just right that everybody would expect at least the best product and service the client would get with their money, time, and effort.
