Importance Of Website External Links In Search Engine Performance

We often think that the most links to a website from the outside (‘external links’) the better the performance in a search engine. For the most part, this is correct. However, there are some good links and there are some bad links. Good links are to and from real value and unique information. For example, you may link from your site to a general trade site of specific information. Similarly, a general health site may link to specific health e-commerce sites.

Be careful of the bad links. This is one to a link farm or place which has no value-added to either your site or the user. It can have negative impact on your site and can even help your competitors in the long term!

In summary, you should remember that you want the user experience to enhance. Anything not to accomplish this ultimately lowers the search engine performance.
