Important Tool For Sailors – C–map Max

When anyone starts sailing, first thing he should do is to check of all favorable conditions for sailing. Favorable conditions include climate, weather, tide factor, magnetic field of earth, location and path of sailing, the tunnels and bridges on the way, etc.

I used to take my own boat along with other people for fee and sail without actually noticing all these factors. I just used to have sea charts with me as a source of information. Sea charts are nothing but a paper containing all the relevant details about oceans and their surrounding places. It tells you about the path, level of depth in water and surrounding land, etc. But with a simple sea chart no one is able to predict the weather or climatic conditions or their present location in ocean. Even if I get lost in between the ocean, I may not be able to find out the correct path with the help of sea charts. So sailing with passengers in my boat to longer distances in ocean was a big problem for me.

It was during this stage where I was in need of a good navigation tool to guide me in oceans. Something more advanced than the sea charts. I heard about C-Map technology and its advantages to sailors. I was really impressed with this technology and decided to buy one. Finally I got my C-Map and used it during my sailing adventures. I was amazed to see the working of this electronic device. It worked really well I was able to locate all the positions I covered and even I was able to save some important locations where I need to go again.

Recently I found C-Map Max which is quite advanced and has many more features that can help sailors in a significant way. C-Map Max can be updated two to three times in a year to get all the up to date details about tunnels, risk free zones, danger zones, etc.

Most passengers really want to explore the beauty of ocean and water and compelled me to go further from shore where only water is to be seen on all four sides. During such expeditions (before using c-map), I lost my way without getting to know the correct path, but by god’s grace I managed to find my way back through hit and trial after spending hours in the ocean. Once I got some help from other boats or ships. With C-Map I now enjoy safe and comfortable sailing without any problems.
