Improving Your Life In 5 Steps
Listed below are five areas you can focus on for improving your life significantly, all five of which are things I explore in-depth on my blog regularly. Stop Worrying So Much Do you constantly worry over everything (or seemingly everything)? If that's you, then you know exactly how this can limit your overall life experience... and ultimately cause you to be unhappy if you let it control you. If you have bills, up to your eyeballs in debt, having relationship problems, etc, step back and realize that worrying about all those problems just depletes you of the strength you need to overcome them. Overcome Your Fears I'm not talking about climbing up the tallest tree you can find to overcome your fear of heights, I'm talking about your fear of people (shyness), your fear of relationships, your fear of being assertive (or any kind of professional confrontation), or even your fear of love. Rather than trying to overcome your fears with one big bang, work on one at a time, and take baby steps each day. Once your "baby step" becomes your comfort zone, continue taking it up a notch until you have fully overcome that fear. Then, move onto the next! Overcome your worst fears and you'll have improved your life greatly from just doing this alone. Build and Maintain Your Intelligence Make it a daily routine to exercise your 8 different intelligences (explored further on my blog) and you'll be able to think clearer, quicker, reduce stress, and remember more! A great (and popular) way to do this is to play at least 15-minutes worth of brain games on a daily basis. Make sure the difficultly "level" in whatever you're doing (whether it be a brain game or something else) continues to rise to a challenging pace, and that you are varying your exercises to work out different parts of your brain. Meditate Regularly Meditation has proven to reduce stress, help people find their inner peace, enjoy life, lower blood pressure and even live longer! The great news is, you can experience all the amazing benefits meditation brings to the table by making it a habit to dedicate only 15 minutes a day to this practice! Those who meditate regularly can attest to the fact that their lives have significantly improved since they made it part of their daily routine. Be More Productive Productivity doesn't always have to be about work, it's really about making the most of your time, which means more time to enjoy your life. Life's too short to "waste" it on things you don't enjoy doing, or the tasks that "have" to be done that we don't particularly enjoy. Learn to get those things done first each day, and you'll be able to enjoy the rest. I challenge you to make a plan on how you can implement the five steps above into your life for at least 30 days and see where that gets you. If you're confused about anything mentioned, you can visit my blog for a more detailed explanation. While the five steps above probably won't be enough to completely "fulfill" your life, your life WILL be significantly improved, and you'll be that much closer to getting the most out of your life.
