Infertility Treatment - Male Infertility
Blockages are a common cause of infertility. Sexually transmitted infections can cause scarring and block the flow, so safe sex is very important. Some men even have problems with the little muscles that shut your bladder up when ejaculation occurs, though technically that’s the sperm headed down the wrong pipe, rather than an actual blockage. While some men are born with sperm tube problems, the most common cause of a blockage is having a vasectomy, and living to regret it. Although reversing a vasectomy is certainly possible, it is a much bigger hassle than getting it done in the first place and complications can occur. It would be wise for men to thoroughly consider both sides of the coin before plugging up their works for good. Lastly there are a few unlucky out there with sexual problems such as erectile dysfunction; who have obvious difficulties making a baby. Of course sexual performance problems in men are just as numerous as causes for infertility so we won’t into it here, but we can advise that you simply speak to your health care provider rather than calling the heavily marketed erectile dysfunction clinics or ordering some of those miracle drugs at insane prices that keep sneaking into your inbox. Your health care provider will refer you to a specialist and hopefully you’ll be on your way to recovery soon. For men that are infertile, there are a number of options for infertility treatments. Roughly 1 in 8 men are directly treatable and once the appropriate infertility treatment has been administered, they will be able to naturally conceive, provided there’s nothing wrong with their partner. Five out of eight infertile men who not have treatments to improve their count or not respond to treatment leaving them with weak or low numbers of sperm, will have to try for much longer to conceive naturally, if at all. And in these cases an alternate reproduction method can be a viable option, in vitro conception. This is a procedure where rather than expecting the little guys to complete the trick on their own to find the egg, the sperm is directly implanted into the egg through the use of technology and science. There are several reproduction clinics and agencies near you, and albeit not very romantic, they are very effective. Some guys through accident or design are completely sterile, there is sadly no sperm to save and these men can’t produce children of their own. The options available to these couples are sperm donation banks, adoption or to simply choose not to have kids. So on that note, don’t take what you’ve got down there for granted. Wear condoms and run regular checkups, use a cup when you play cricket, but most of all, just keep an eye on what’s going on in your nether regions, and please go and see your health provider if anything is a miss.
