Can you make money online?

Before I answer that question let me ask you one..can you make money offline? Obviously the answer is yes/no/maybe.

Well the same answer applies to those who want to make money online.Your chances are no greater than making it offline, because you are still creating a business with all the similar risks attaching. But here is the good news..

You can start online very cheaply, without any major investment that would be required offline. But the key is to learn internet marketing and I mean really learn it. Understand it, decide on your business model. Don't jump from one get rich quick scheme to another. Commit to a model or system, just as you would offline and execute it.

What is the best way to learn internet marketing? Like most things, the answer is by doing. Yes, having a go and learning by your mistakes..and testing..and testing some more.

If you consider for a moment that you were in say, retailing offline, the success or failure of your business is dependent on primarily one thing..visitors to your shop. Or as the retail world calls it 'footfall'.

In your online business the same rule applies..your success will depend on footfall, electronic footfall which is called 'visitors' or 'unique views' in the online world. So if you can picture in your mind the first purpose of everything you do in internet marketing is to generate visitors(or footfall) a lot of things will become clearer to you.

To succeed online,as in succeeding offline,you will need persistence, hard work and discipline. But if you are capable of consistent, distraction free effort over a period of time with a little bit of flair thrown in, you can succeed online..and succeed big.

But..

Avoid the hustlers and get rich quick merchants like the swine flu..and build a business based on sound principles which have worked online and offline since God was a child.
