Introduce Your Business With Door Hangers

Door Hangers help someone know that you stopped by their home. If you are in sales, you know that knocking on doors in a neighborhood can be very tough. Walking up and down the street is only one portion of it. Most sales people try to be very cheery when they do get someone to open the door which isn’t very often. They try to look for signs that someone is home like a television playing in the background or a car in the driveway. Still, that is not a guarantee that the homeowner will open the door.

If teenage children are the only ones at home, they have probably been instructed to not answer the door to strangers. These homes are best for just leaving word that you were there with door hangers. In addition, some people who do not know you will not answer the door to you. They could be looking right at you through the peephole or blinds. Most sales people are instructed to knock a couple of times and then go to the next house. If they continue to knock, they may see the homeowner and they will not be very happy. Early afternoons can be quiet as well for door to door sales because children may be napping. Some savvy moms will leave a note on the door instructing you not to knock but, if they don’t, you may find an unhappy mom at the door. In these cases, door hangers are great to use. It will tell the homeowner that someone has come by to visit them. Businesses can leave information on it such as a free estimate or call for a free gift. The purpose is to entire the reader to take action.

If you are in the tree trimming or grass cutting business, you may leave information about your prices and a phone number to come by and discuss using your services. You may already have a good idea of your fees based on the appearance of the home. This will save time for the homeowner having to wait for an estimate. The only problem with leaving your fees on door hangers is the possibility for sticker shock. If your homeowner has been pricing the services, then you are probably in line with what the going rates are. If they have just been thinking about it and haven’t begun to research prices it may seem like more than what they will pay. If your price isn’t one of the lowest ones in town, it’s best to leave it for a face to face or phone conversation.
