Is Eternal Life Real?

In this day and age there are people who don’t accept the idea of eternal life. Many say that there is only one life, and after we die there is absolutely nothing. These people argue that there is no proof or evidence of life after death.

There is someone who declared and is totally sure of the eternal life, let’s see what he says:
Luke 18:28 “Then Peter said, ‘See, we have left all and followed you.’”
Luke 18:29 “So He said to them, ‘Assuredly, I say to you, there is no one who has left house or parents or brothers or wife or children, for the sake of the kingdom of God.’”
Luke 18:30 “ Who shall not receive many times more in this present time, and in the age to come eternal life.”

Peter, the disciple of Jesus was telling Jesus about the sacrifice they did in order to follow him. The answer is something we need to meditate on. Jesus told them that because they follow Him, they were going to receive a reward in life, and after this life they were going to receive Eternal Life.

The reason why Christians believe in these words is because Jesus already probes to be trustworthy, after giving us so much peace, and because of this we can believe everything He says.

Let me tell you that it is hard to make somebody believe in eternal life. The hard thing about it is that the nonbelievers always ask for scientific proof, but we know that if Jesus didn’t lie when he gave us peace in our hearts, then He didn’t lie about Eternal life either.

Those of us who gave our lives to the Lord received many blessings from Him; Joy, Peace, Wisdom, Courage, happiness, and many more. The promises of God are for the followers of Jesus, and Eternal life is one of His promises.

Requirements for Eternal Life
John 3:14 “And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of Man be lifted up.”
John 3:15 “that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life.”

According with the Bible, the requirement for Eternal Life is “Faith in Jesus”. Believing and accepting what Jesus did on the cross of Calvary is the beginning of the Christian walk. After this first step we have to live according to His will.

We will have tribulations in life, and in the middle of the storm we can have our faith in Jesus strengthened. It is in the hard times when we can grow and mature spiritually. Is Eternal Life Real? I think it is, and you? What do you believe?
