Is Microsoft Making A Difference?

What do you think about this project from Microsoft ? At a first look one might say it's a noble thing to do from Microsoft's part, but let's take a closer look. I don't have anything against the software giant but this seems a little out of place, and I'll tell you why.

The "i’m" project is supposed to be Microsoft's way to help those in need by donating money for every conversation you're having using Windows Live Messenger. So basically, as a good friend of mine was saying the other day " If little Timmy dies of hunger it's your fault for using Yahoo! Messenger!". This might be a little weird but so are big companies that try to speculate people's good will in order to increase ratings.

A couple of years back there was this spam message I kept receiving about the president of Yahoo! and AOL donating money for every Yahoo! Messenger conversation you made, it was all a scam of course, and now Microsoft is taking advantage of the poor, only for real this time.
