Gold is though to be the best hedge against inflation so in these troubled times when nothing is secure anymore, the best option we have is to start investing in this precious metal. Even with the recession and the loss of wages and jobs, the demand for the glittering metal has always been high proving the fact that gold has gained the trust of the investors. When you are a short term investor then the advantages of owning gold will remain most likely anonymous to you. This means that they are not interested in selling the gold they have for a long period of time or up until things on the financial market begin to cool down.
