Is Your End Of The Seesaw Up Or Down

What exactly are we doing? Are we simply watching as time accelerates, leaving us further and further behind, scratching our head as we share that glazed look! Are we leading a balanced life, carefully monitoring our mental, physical and spiritual beings? Do we create the time needed to take that occasional inventory of our existence? Do we care?

Ok, let’s be real about this! Most of us are simply content to get through the day, let alone the week or the month. At what point do we quit making excuses and take some action? No one ever said you can never be at peace with yourself, nor did they say you can’t change the path you’re on! So, what are we waiting for?

First, we need a plan. We should take a few minutes to determine where we are at presently. Are we actively pursuing a conscious lifestyle? Are we growing mentally and physically, meaning are we providing the proper stimulus to spark our mental and physical neurons into action in a new and productive way? Do we know where we need to be to finally declare ourselves at peace?

Next, we should determine what it is we need to change or alter. Are we taking a daily dose of meditation, exposing our self to new physical activities, and pushing our minds to learn new and stimulating information? It’s time to embrace all of these activities, push yourself to new heights and find out just how complete your existence can be!

Forget the status quo! Throw away the poisonous thinking about avoiding change and personal growth! Get off that stool that allows you to watch the world go by and participate! Make some changes, push yourself to experience new physical boundaries, absorb some new brain food! It’s time to clean house, open your mind and bring that bounce back into your step. Forget those mental boundaries! The only thing we have to fear is ourselves and our reluctance to better ourselves and our surroundings!

Invest in some books or cd’s that pertain to conscious living. Read a daily quote or thought that pertains to improving our thoughts and our environment. Sign up for a yoga or pilates class. Join a health club or outdoor activity group in your city. Increase the intensity in your physical activities. Decrease the rest periods when you are exercising, push yourself to experience new physical limits. Find out what it means to actually feel your workouts for a few days afterwards. You body can handle it, it didn’t have any problem when you were younger and it won’t now!

Learn a new language, read some books on a topic that you know absolutely nothing about, and find out how great it feels to open your mind to new and exciting stimulus. Remember the analogy of your mind and a parachute; neither works unless it is opened! Open your receptors to new stimulus, get those dormant cells operating again! Feel alive, refreshed and experience what we are meant to feel when we challenge ourselves to embrace a balanced way of life!
