It'll End At Your End, Probably

The latest idiotic airport “safety” program being implemented by the Obama administration, intended to show that our President and his bureaucrats are dedicated to keeping you safe while you fly, now entails swabbing the hands of randomly selected passengers, as well as carry-on luggage, an effort which they’ve been doing for a while. These swabs are then put into a machine that sucks out everything that the swab has picked up, with the intention of detecting residue from a bomb-making effort.

Doing only luggage hasn’t worked, as the Christmas Day 2009 bombing attempt showed, so apparently the high-priced consultants to our intellectual President recommended expanding that futile program, and he obviously agreed. A question that we must ask is if anyone in that select group of people who decided to implement this program raised the possibility of a bomb maker/bomber putting on a $1 pair of rubber gloves while making the bomb, or, gasp, having an experienced bomb-maker make the bomb, leaving no residue on the hands or luggage of the suicide bomber himself/herself?

Do we so underestimate the intelligence of these people who want to harm us, that we think that a valuable person such as one who is trained to make a bomb would also be the one to carry it onto a plane and detonate it, ending his bomb-making career?

Where will this airport PR idiocy end?

If they start wheeling proctoscopes into airports, we should all start taking the train.
