It's About Time

Thanks to unrivaled savoir faire and ingenious technological advancements, TIME is one of the most advanced companies in the cycling market. Each time, TIME releases a new product, it quickly becomes a standard in the industry, like their Carbon frames for example. Amongst the other biggies in the cycling industry, TIME is the only one to master RTM technology (Resin Transfer Molding). In fact, TIME entered the carbon manufacturing process before anyone else by weaving their own custom tubular carbon in layers at their factory in France.

TIME was founded in 1987 by Mr. Roland Cattin. Since then, TIME has been stepping up to show the others how it's done. For more than 20 years, TIME has focused their efforts around developing high-end, technologically advanced, innovative products for riders from the novice to the pro. TIME's illustrious history began with the first automatic pedal system designed to accommodate the biomechanical limitations of the rider. This was a revolution in pedal design and they haven't stopped developing great products since. The product line now includes pedals, shoes, frames and more. And to this day, TIME has consistently developed a complete line of innovative products for cyclists within all skill levels.

After only six years in business, TIME opened a specialized factory designed to house their exclusive Resin Transfer Molding technology. This revolutionary facility in France flourishes with new designs of carbon composite frames, forks, stems, and seat posts that have revolutionized the cycling industry. This is no accident. Since the beginning, TIME has focused their efforts on new technologies and of all the bicycle manufacturers in this world, TIME is the only one master RTM technology.

Many companies rely on the innovations of others to develop their own product line. They are followers that try to improve upon a process that is already in place. Not so for TIME, they entered the carbon composite field before anyone else and they perfected their own carbon fabric to create a composite with optimal properties. You will find that most other manufacturing facilities still use flat sheets of pre-impregnated carbon fabric for their product. This limits the range of shapes and designs that can be produced. That wasn't good enough for TIME. They set their engineering minds into action and developed a specialized system that weaves the carbon layers together into a tubular pattern so they can achieve any shape, size or dimensions necessary to enhance ride characteristics while still maintaining exceptional quality and lightweight components.

If you need more proof, take this into account. Professional cycling teams all around the world endorse TIME's vast product line. In fact, two UCI Pro Tour teams have competed on TIME frames, using TIME pedals. And there are ten additional professional teams that consistently use TIME's road and off-road pedals as well. In the Cross Country arena, Julien Absalon and BMX/mountain cross legend Jill Kitner have both won World Championships while riding on TIME pedals. But the biggest kudos are wins in the most prestigious international competitions like Paris-Roubaix, Giro d'Italia, la Vuelta a Espaņa, the Olympic games, many World Championships and of course the Tour de France. This isn't a surprise though; TIME has always been intimately involved with professional cycling and their product
