Jaguar - The Mark Of Luxury

Each minor change marks a new turning point in the Jaguar brand. Based on a tradition of style, uniformity in the brand eloquently combines the rich history and modern luxury in every model and line. The time-honed shape and curve has made the Jaguar one of the longest lasting luxury car icons. Revealed in Geneva, the 2012 XKR-S Jaguar showcased a new nose and headlights. These features will be incorporated into every model of the XK line.

Without noticing the insignia, a luxury car enthusiast can distinguish a Jaguar from other luxury car brands. The curves and classy shape can distinguish models from generations, but remain characteristic of the Jaguar brand identity. The subtle changes to the XK line already are making headlines in the luxury car industry. The new widened grilles are able to accommodate fresh mesh inserts. The grilles are chrome for XK convertibles and coupes and black matte for the XRK. The new headlights are directed by LED technology. The hatch lid and fender vents will also have a few adjustments. For buyers who like the black matte finish, there will be an optional package that replaces chrome with glossy black throughout the design for dark design consistency.

The interior will have new features and options, but the exterior is still the most impressive change in recent years. While some vehicles reinvent themselves every few years with revolutionary designs and features, the Jaguar line has held true. The progressively slow evolution has allowed for appreciation of class and design of the car. While the small changes to the 2012 XK are barely noticeable to most, the new car nose marks the beginning of adaptive design.
