Japanese Char Sui Recipe - Everything You Need To Know

Different Japanese foods have been a favorite among many people even to those who are not Japanese. Their taste is simply hard to miss and let go unnoticed. It must be admitted that there is just something special about Japanese foods that can make someone dream of living in Japan just to have a sample of these wonderful delights everyday. Truly, the Japanese have invaded most countries through their tempting treats.
One of the many favorites among Japanese foods is the char sui. Char sui is the Chinese barbecue which often comes with a sweet taste. Although its name is Chinese, char sui also has a Japanese version. This is of course a modified style done by the Japanese people to incorporate their own culture and flavoring in it. Sometimes, people refer to the char sui as the sauce alone.
Japanese char sui recipe is very easy to do. You can have your own version at home whenever you want to. Here is what you need to come up with a splendid Japanese char sui recipe:


Ingredients:
1 k pork
½ cup wine
½ cup honey or sugar
4 garlic cloves
1 tsp Chinese five-spice powder
1 tsp salt
½ cup soy sauce

The pork must be cut into chunks so as to make it easily absorptive of the sauce. Remove the fat as well. Mix all ingredients and marinate the chunks in here. You may add red food coloring to intensify the color of the pork. For a superb taste, marinate the pork overnight. Grill the pork until it is well done. Some people even use the marinade as the sauce. They just simmer this until it thickens and afterwards, serve it with the grilled pork chunks. But of course, you may prepare your own sauce, depending on your taste and preference.
