Japanese Crohn's Sufferer Finds Relief From Medical Marijuana

One Japanese MMJ patient who is suffering with Crohn's disease is fighting to stay in the U.S., seeking either medical or political asylum. Kenichi Nalita is originally from Japan, where the government does not recognize cannabis has a medication. He's the first MMJ user fighting the issue in the Japanese courts. Right now, the medical marijuana he uses comes from a California medical marijuana dispensary. A daily dose of several grams of MMJ has done him a world of good, as it builds up the mucous membranes in his bowels and controls the immune system. And, all this, without the harmful side effects or limitations on diet that generally come with the use of Western medicines like anti-inflammatories, immune inhibition treatment or steroids. Does this sound like something you would want to use during a medical crisis? If so, then it's time you learn more about medical marijuana.

Nalita, in late 2008, was in Tokyo. He was busted for being in possession of three grams of hashish, which he had turned to to deal with the problem of his life-altering and deadly disease. Nalita has said time and again that his use and possession is nothing more than an innocent attempt to live a normal life. In an ironic turn of events, medical marijuana is illegal in Japan because of the United States. After World War II was over, the administration enforced marijuana prohibition. The court, in 2009, did not approve of using medical marijuana for medical conditions because of two specific reasons: 1 ? Japanese doctors failed to given an opinion on the matter and 2 ? Japanese doctors never fully researched the advantages and benefits to using medical marijuana. This didn't slow Nalita down. He took his right to live fight to the MMLF.TV (also known as Medical Marijuana Liberation Front) and, six months later, he was speaking to university professors in the medical department, the Ministry of Health, the Supreme Court and the Japanese DEA.

As of this moment, there are no medical marijuana dispensaries in Japan. This is the reason Nalita has chosen to come to the U.S., as patients are allowed to pick the treatment and medication they want to take while under doctor's care. These travel plans that Nalita has have been put on hiatus as he hashes out his case in the courts regarding the hashish charge. Unfortunately, Nalita feels that being Japanese is what's keeping him from living a healthy, legal life with the help of medical marijuana.

Nalita's case outlines the dire need for states in the U.S. to keep medical marijuana dispensaries open and legal. After all, there is a significant number of medical marijuana dispensaries that have helped patients get a handle and live with their various health issues and diseases.

Nalita said MMJ was his only option to live life normally. He said he still has some hope. Do you feel the same way and live in the Denver area? If so, then check out any Denver medical marijuana dispensary to see how it can give your life some hope.
