Jennifer Aniston was born in Sherman Oaks, California to actor John Aniston, who is most famous for his role on the popular soap opera Days of Our Lives, and his wife Nancy. In 1993 Aniston starred in the box office bomb “Leprechaun” but that same year landed the part of Rachel Green in a new NBC sitcom called “Friends.” By 1995 “Friends” was a smash hit and women all over the U.S. copycatted Aniston’s layered shag hair cut dubbed “The Rachel.” Of the hair style, Aniston told People magazine "It's bizarre. I keep thinking, 'Wait – it's just me!' "

Between 1996 and 1999 Aniston’s acting career continued to blossom. The actress hit the big screen with roles in the movies “She’s the One,” “Picture Perfect,” “The Object of My Affection” and the now cult classic “Office Space.” During this time Aniston began dating another popular actor, Brad Pitt, who became famous for his dashing good looks and starring roles in movies like “Fight Club” and “Seven.” Pitt has also appeared on many magazine covers including Rolling Stone magazine, Entertainment Weekly magazine, Esquire magazine, Vanity Fair magazine, Details magazine and as People magazine’s “Sexiest Man Alive” in 1995 and 2000.

In 2000 Pitt and Aniston wed in a much-anticipated and lavish $1 million wedding ceremony in 2000. The newlyweds’ wedding photos appeared on the cover of and in People magazine. People magazine reported the wedding included 200 guests, 50,000 flowers, four bands, a gospel choir and fireworks on a Malibu bluff, in which they read marriage vows they composed themselves.

By 2004 “Friends” had been on the air for 10 years and the cast called it quits. Aniston appeared on the cover of People magazine’s “50 Most Beautiful People” issue, which she had been included in several times since 1998. Aniston addressed the rumors that her marriage to Brad Pitt was on the rocks as false.

The next year Pitt and Aniston are on every celebrity magazines cover after they announce their separation in January; Aniston filed for divorce in March. Both celebrities denied they are separating because of Pitt’s relationship with actress Angelina Jolie, whom he co-starred with in the hit Mr. & Mrs. Smith.

Aniston rebounded professionally from her broken marriage with a hit movie, “The Break-Up,” also starring Vince Vaughn. Aniston granted Vanity Fair magazine a candid interview regarding her real-life break-up, in which she discussed her embarrassment, heartbreak and optimism for the future. Aniston also told Vogue magazine, “Don’t feel sorry for me!” Aniston appears on several People magazine covers during this time.

In a 2007 survey of six popular American celebrity magazines by Forbes magazine, Aniston is named the top magazine cover girl. Forbes magazine reported, “Appearing on every magazine title except ‘In Touch Weekly’ at least once during the time period of January to June, her face collectively sold more than five million magazine copies.”

Star magazine editor Candace Trunzo added to Forbes magazine reportage, “She’s the classic wronged woman. I think that most women can relate to and empathize with someone that was so in love with a man who, in an incredible Hollywood twist, leaves her for his co-star in a film.”

By January, Aniston and Pitt’s divorce was final and Aniston along with the rest of the world watched as Pitt adopted Jolie’s two children and later had a daughter. At this time Aniston tells Vogue magazine, "Don't feel sorry for me!"

By 2008 Aniston is back in the celebrity magazines because of her romance with singer and younger man John Mayer. The couple is photographed in various locales together and break-up in March, which is highly publicized by People magazine, OK magazine, Us Weekly, In Touch Weekly and Star magazine; by October they reunite.
