It just so happened that I was unexpectedly let go from my last employment as a welder and I didn't have any idea where my life was headed. Although those jobs took care of me financially, I was still never genuinely happy with my place and knew that I had to make some changes if I was going to find real happiness. Long story short with this, it turned out that losing that job would be one of the best things that ever happened to me. (aside from my two wonderful daughters of course) That's when I threw up my hands and had to ask myself, What can I do to prevent this from ever happening again? That's when I got on the internet and began to look for some solutions. I was looking to get back into direct sales because I was skilled at it and very prosperous when I was doing it. I came across an classified ad on Craigslist that read Be Your Own Boss. Who doesn't that seem good to? That is at what time I was introduced to the MLM/Network Marketing industry, signed up at once and started a home based business. Now this is when this story takes a terrible turn. I thought this would be simple since the company I partnered up with had products that the best part of folks need and my sponsors were enormously profitable in the way that they were forming their business. I was hype! That could not have been farther than the truth. I was failing miserably, thinking about giving up and going out to acquire another job. I knew that there had to be some answers because of all the results that I could obviously see that others were having in the Network Marketing industry. So online I went again. I started seeing figures all over the place that over 95% of the individuals in the Network Marketing industry put more money into their home based business opportunity than they ever get back in return, go out of business and give up within their first 90 days of starting their opportunity. What did I get myself into? I kept reading on and established why this was going on and it was like this guy was talking precisely to me! He allegedthat the reason that so many fail in this magnificent industry is because that when the mainstream of people sign up that their upline will advise them to make a list of your family and friends, begin using the 3 foot rule, posting flyers, holding meetings and cold calling. Yep, that's exactly what they told me to do! This is when I kept on reading and was introduced to the notion of attraction marketing and that the most powerful tool that can be used for forming a Network Marketing business nowadays was the internet. By the way, I didn't even know how to copy and paste! LOL! I was VERY BLESSED to partner up with a few TRUE mentors and top producers in the industry that took me by the hand was able to show me how to develop a profitable business online. Don't get me wrong, I'm not one of those guys that thinks that the internet is the only route to develop a Network Marketing business. There are people that form very successful organizations doing the belly to belly thing but it wasn't working for me. There are individuals that struggle for YEARS prior to them being able to find prosperity in the MLM industry so I deem myself extremely lucky to have found this at such an early stage in my new career. They told me, there are two words in Network Marketing,(DUH!) the key word being MARKETING! You must be able to market successfully to have true success when structuring a business online they said. When you recognize how to put the concepts of attraction marketing in place, you no longer have to pursue people and try to convince them to join you in your organization. They come to you and hand you their information wanting you to contact them. Long story short, they taught me how to brand myself, put a system in place that in turn allows me to produce an endless quantity of leads every day to build MY OWN list and convert those leads into team members and paying customers. Not only that, the expertise of how to now pass along that value onto others that are looking for the answers that are desired by so many in the industry. The greater part of individuals do not care about your products, company or compensation plan. We all have them! People join people. They want to know if YOU will be able to get THEM results and now that response for me is an astounding YES!
