Key To Victory

Victory starts with the end in view, runners in a race know this well and throughout the entire race, their minds are focused on... the finish line. Runners don't just start running, they become familiar with their environment, the people, the locations, what they need to wear, what equipment they need to purchase and what they need to eat, runners prepare.

The Internet is a huge beast and can be compared to that of an Elephant. How does a person prepare to take on the Internet and for that matter, how does a person eat an Elephant? The answer to both is the same - One small bite at a time.

Showing up at a marathon does not make you a runner and likewise, throwing up a website without any type of plan does not make you successful or wealthy and certainly won't give you the targeted traffic to your website that you should be looking for, well if your looking for sales that is.

The other side of the success coin is - not success. Be willing to fail, this could be when no one is watching or in front of your friends or anyone else for that matter, be ok with the thought that you might not succeed on you first attempt, I mean, not succeeding on your many attempts at learning to walk didn't stop you - did it? Learning to take on the Internet is no different.

Now, Imagine yourself already at the Finish Line, that your Successful or that your Rich or that now your a lot Happier!, now think about the steps you needed to take to get to that place in your Life, reverse engineer your WIN, write it down. It doesn't have to be complete, just an outline will do, you can fill in the gaps later.

The key is to turn the outline of your WIN into an attack plan, a battle strategy. You do this by finding the missing pieces to your outline, by asking questions, by learning what it is that you need to know, by doing the things you need to be doing and in this way you can be that runner that stayed his course, that stayed focused, that never gave up.

So, with that said, get your knife and fork out and get to work because, a race isn't won without the first step and the Internet isn't taken on, without the first bite.
