Kit - Back For More

Anyone who saw the original version with David Hasselhoff remembers Kit, the Knight Rider car. It was a Firebird, plus was beyond doubt a beautiful thing. Possibly its most distinctive attribute - aside from the doctrinaire and crabby talking personal computer - was the line of red LEDs across the front. They would all flicker in sequence and make different sounds whenever the TV camera zoomed in on it.

I suppose this new Knight Rider series must have a new car, which they certainly haven't dilly-dallied to mix things up a bit. Although they still feature a dark, US-made macho car, everything else has changed. The new car is really a Mustang - and a trully revved up one to boot. According to what I've read about it, the car is a Shelby GT 500. It definitely has a bulkier, heavier look to it than the last one. Whenever you saw that last Firebird, you virtually could see how it would be able to leap into the air. This new Kit, nevertheless, looks way too heavy and more hard. It will be easier for audiences to believe it when the new car shrugs off ammunition as if they were rain drops.

Some thing I don't like with the new car is the sad reality that it no longer has the panning line of red LEDs on it. Nevertheless, it does have a host of swell sophisticated eye candy that wasn't available on the original one. There is a video screen inside that will display cool graphics whenever KIT the car speaks. I'm positive the special effects will be better too, and the weapons might be a lot more sophisticated. There are lots of alterations in the car, nevertheless, I'm sure probably the most die hard sticklers will be able to be pleased about the Mustang. I for one am already slobbering at the expectation of seening it hunt down bad guys.

Apparently, the original car has been put on the market.I'm not surprised by this. With all the promotion that the new series is getting as a result of its revival, the owner of the last one is in all likelihood figuring that he will be able to get a some cash out of the sale. And it certainly will cost a pretty penny. I've discovered that the cost of the car was around 200K dollars - Not exactly chickenfeed. I'm rather envious of whoever gets their hands on it. I was a huge lover of the original series myself.
