Kentucky Derby News
This past weekend, Todd Pletcher’s three year old sensation Uncle Mo cruised to victory at the Timely Writer Score race. Uncle Mo’s victory was considered to be convincing enough for many online sportsbooks to place the young colt as the odds on favorite for this year’s run of the Roses. In the first pool of Kentucky Derby Wager’s, Uncle Mo is a seven to two favorite to win the race. However, in pool two, Uncle Mo is now considered a three to one favorite. With the win at the Timely Writer Score at Gulfstream Park, Uncle Mo improved its record to four wins in four career races. However, it should be noted, that in the first pool of Kentucky Derby odds, Uncle Mo (seven to two odds) has some stiff competition to contend with. For instance, its biggest threat comes from the Nick Zito camp of thoroughbreds, as Dialed In has odds of 11 to one to win the Kentucky Derby. Aside Dialed In, Uncle Mo’s biggest threat is To Honor And Serve at 15 to one odds. To Honor And Serve is considered the best thoroughbred to be foaled by 2010 sire of the year Bernardini. While Dialed In and To Honor And Serve are considered big threats to Uncle Mo in the first pool of Kentucky Derby Wagers, a couple other horses came out of nowhere in pool two thanks to impressive runs this past weekend. Those horses are Premier Pegasus a colt that won the San Felipe Stakes at Santa Anita, as well as win and place in the Tampa Bay Derby horses, Watch Me Go and Crimson Knight.
