Kick Your Site To Number 1 With Rss

RSS is an abbreviation for Really Simple Syndication and is a way of distributing content out to other sites. Its original purpose was primarily aimed at newsfeeds and providing content from news sites to other sites.

Like many other technologies, it has been acquired by Internet Marketers who have found this is an excellent method to get backlinks. It allows you to syndicate your content to hundreds of other websites with a click of a button, which in turn will increase your site in the search engine results.

If you want to use RSS syndication, you must to have an RSS feed from your site. The simplest way to do this is to use Wordpress when creating your website. A static HTML site can be translated into an RSS feed, though it isn't always easy. Quite often it involves a manual process and manual submission of files. This conversion can be done automatically with some websites.

Next you need to find sites to submit your RSS feed to.

You are looking for two kinds of site.

The first step is to find RSS directories. Google will provide you with a long list of possible directories to submit to. The submission process can be automated with software tools.

Once you have found your directories you want to submit your RSS feeds to them. Manually it isn't the fastest process, but it can be outsourced. You need to have your keywords, a title and sometimes a description prepared, but that won't take long.

Each submission can be made unique by using an alternative description and title. What level of difference this actually makes no one is quite sure, but it does appear to help.

You need. The reason is you don't want to submit the same site more than once. You may also want to keep track of the directories to submit other sites in the future.

The second type of site is the RSS Aggregator. This takes multiple RSS feeds and combines then into a single feed or webpage. This can then be submitted to the RSS directories.

The RSS aggregator is a useful tool to mix up your RSS feeds on a topic with feeds from news sites on the same theme. This will often give you more content and/or authority.

Remember that many of the Web 2.0 sites, e.g. Squidoo, have RSS feeds that you can submit to the directories You can submit these to RSS directories and aggregators too.

Your RSS feeds will be updated every time you update your web site. If you are regularly adding new content, you will find it very quickly syndicated to lots of web sites.

RSS feeds are a fantastic way to gain further backlinks and to help your sites to rank well. Watch your rankings and earnings increase as RSS feeds bring you extra links and enhanced rankings.
