There are several national parks in the province these are Tham Pha Thai, Chae Son and Doi Khun Than. Lampang is well know for its ceramic and terra-cotta. Locals produce fine plates and gourds and religious trinkets made from terra-cotta. Lampang is a great place to visit during Loy-Kratong when candle lit flower boats are floated in the Wang river and beautiful sky lanterns can be seen floating into the sky. Lampang can easily be reached by long distance bus service from Bangkok. Alternatively fly to Chiang Mai and take a coach service from there.
