The cooling gel will counter the heat that is created by the laser, thereby reducing the risk of developing side effects. In case you experience crusting of the skin post treatment, you need to treat this with petroleum jelly. By doing this, you will make sure the problem doesn't get out of hand. Right after your treatment, do not get into a tanning booth.
