Although not all schools require you to have this exam taken, it is better to have passed this exam so that you can apply to any school you want. Most law schools require applicants to have passed the LSAT. Passing this test can give you an edge over those that have not taken the exam.

Having high grades and passing the LSAT is a strong foundation for you to use to apply to a high standard university. But it is not enough. You also need to know more about yourself.
