Leading Figures Of 70s Porn

70s porn is so great because it is when most people believe that porn finally became legit and many of those revelers refer to it as the Golden Age of the porn industry. Many people say that classic 70s porn was the best XXX that was ever produced and say there is nothing better than this form of retro cinema. Films from 70s porn are the ones that will stand the test of time in the industry and also what make porn from the 80s and 90s seem so cheesy and pathetic. All films, from that point on, have been held up against the classic 70s porn and it does not seem that any of them are as timeless. One of the things that made 70s porn so great was the leading ladies and men in the films. So, here are three of the most popular porn stars from the 70s that we all keep in our hearts.

1. John Holmes. This is one of the most famous adult film stars in all of history and is someone we are all familiar with, some intimately. During his career, he appeared in over 2,500 adult loops, stag films, and porno feature film throughout the seventies and eighties. Holmes was most widely known for his exceptionally large penis and it was something that the porn industry promoted all the time. Holmes died in the late eighties from AIDS, but his life has been the inspiration for movies like Boogie Nights and Wonderland.

2. Linda Lovelace. Linda Lovelace became popular in the seventies when she starred in the porn hit, Deep Throat. Deep Throat began the fad of porn chic for a brief period of time and Lovelace played a big role in that. However, she later became a spokeswoman for an anti pornography movement and completely changed her ways.

3. Sharon Mitchell. Sharon Mitchell got her start working off Broadway, but is mostly remembered for career as an adult film star that spanned across two decades. She appeared in over 2,000 adult films and was defined by her wiry physique and androgynous appearance. Throughout her career, she made a transition from sex films to bondage and sadism and masochism. She was portrayed as a soft butch lesbian, but also had sex scenes with men as one part of a threesome. After leaving the adult sex industry, she went on to get her PhD in human sexuality from the Institute for the Advanced Study of Human Sexuality in San Francisco.
