Place a nori sheet on the bamboo mat and use the wooden spoon to carefully spread a layer of the rice mixture onto the nori sheet, being careful not to tear the seaweed.

Once you have a layer of rice, place a thin line of ingredients in the center of the rice mixture. This will be your preferred choice of sushi ingredients and will roll up neatly into the center of the sushi roll.

Finally, once all of the ingredients are laid out, use the bamboo sushi mat to tightly roll the mixture into a sushi roll. Be careful not to make it too loose. Once you have the sushi mixture rolled up, you can take the roll and slice it into rounds of your preferred size. Then, as an added touch, serve the sushi roll with a side of pickled ginger and wasabi. That is the best way to make sushi at home.
